Association of Medical Laboratory Educational Programs (AMLEP) Board of Directors

The mission of the Association of Medical Laboratory Educational Programs (AMLEP) will be to facilitate and encourage collaboration, cooperation, and communication among medical laboratory educational programs. AMLEP advances the quality of medical laboratory education through involvement in academic, clinical, and regulatory issues which affect medical laboratory education and practice. AMLEP also advocates for the interests of medical laboratory education programs and students with respect to administration, accreditation, education, practice, and public policy issues.

AMLEP will be a separately incorporated 501(c)(6) organization whose leaders will be appointed by ASCLS. 

The Society is currently seeking individuals to serve on the initial board of directors and work through the strategic design of the organization's membership structure and programs. Board members will be chosen from across the broad spectrum of medical laboratory education program types and locations. 

Board members must:

• Have the proven capacity for strategic thinking and collaboration.
• Embrace the effective use of contemporary technology.
• Understand the history and current status of the medical laboratory education landscape and the forces shaping its future.
