Hello all fellow ASCLS colleagues and Educators.

I hope you are well. It is almost the end of September and we hope everything is running as smoothly as possible wherever you are.

Please review and share the following information for the upcoming Diversity Advocacy Council Movie Night event. It is a movie "night" but it will actually be in the middle of the day. If you are able to encourage students to take a bit of time on one of the following dates, we hope you can join us. Also please share this information with your peers in practice, clinical sites, internships and so forward. We hope to get as many people as possible to register. If you cannot attend this time around, we will have one additional showing in January 2025 (at night this time, we hope). Click on the link for the time/date that best fits your schedule.

Movie Night: The Healthcare Divide

Friday, October 18, 2 pm ET
Sunday, October 20, 3 pm ET

The ASCLS Diversity Advocacy Council (DAC) invites you to attend a viewing of the documentary, The Healthcare Divide, to watch it together virtually with other ASCLS members.

FRONTLINE and NPR investigate the growing inequities in American healthcare exposed by COVID-19. The Healthcare Divide examines how pressure to increase profits and uneven government support are widening the divide between rich and poor hospitals, endangering care for low-income populations.

The movie runs 54 minutes. There will be opportunities to chat during the movie, as well as a brief follow-up discussion at the end.

This is a free event for ASCLS members and non-members alike, but REGISTRATION is required.

We really hope you can join us!
