    The American College of Healthcare Executives and the Society to Improve Diagnosis in Medicine will be co-hosting a complimentary webinar, Addressing Diagnostic Error: A Top Source of Preventable Harm and Cost, on September 24 from 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. CT. Registration is open to all, and we would like to invite coalition members and their teams to join us!

    Expert faculty, Paul Epner and Sue Sheridan, will share solutions for healthcare leaders to employ to prevent diagnostic errors at the organizational level, including strategies and tools needed to take a systematic approach to mitigating this significant safety risk.

    Learning Objectives:
    • Define the National Academy of Medicine's diagnostic process.
    • Examine the impact of diagnostic errors on patient outcomes.
    • Describe the types of diagnostic quality issues encountered in clinical settings and discuss approaches for identifying and mitigating them.
